Arc’teryx Theta SV Jacket Men’s – Review

The wonderful folks at the Arc’teryx company have done it again by delivering us a warm jacket made of the very breathable Gore-Tex Pro material. A longtime fan of Arc’teryx, I couldn’t resist this jacket. These people really know how to make you look good and keep you warm at the same time.

As I understand it, these jackets are handmade in Canada. Canadians know about cold and they also know about keeping a person warm.

This jacket has a fantastic construction quality. Not only is the material itself of very high quality, but the whole thing is seamed together so it really becomes one solid piece of clothing. I went out in the rain with this and I didn’t feel one drop on my skin.

There are also plenty of pockets and naturally the hood on this jacket is removable. It has underarm zips so that you can open these up when you feel you are overheating.

The zippers are water tight, by the way. When you have them closed, you’ll have the guarantee that any water you’ll come in contact with, is going to stay outside.

I currently do not have any plans to go skiing, but I’ve done so in the past. I know how easy it is to get cold and wet when you’ve taken a nose dive into the snow.

I haven’t tested this Theta SV in the snow yet. But I have a sneaking suspicion it won’t have any problems dealing with it, based on how pouring rain simply slides off it effortlessly.

This jacket is long-cut, so this also adds to the protection you get when walking around outside. It’s a pricey jacket, I will admit. But for the money, you get great quality! I’ve got the titanium color myself. But they are also available in black and blue!
