Marmot Guides Down Sweater Men’s Ski Jacket – Review

I wanted to buy a good skiing jacket that would last me a while. I made the mistake of purchasing a cheap jacket a few years back and it only lasted about a year or two, maybe three. That jacket cost me $60 back then. I figured that if I would shell out twice the price for a better and stronger brand and the jacket would last me for more than four years, it would be a better deal. So I browsed the web to see which brands were the strongest.

One of the jackets that caught my eye was the Men’s Guides Down Ski Jacket from the Marmot company. I had never heard of them before, but it quickly became clear to me that this company knows how to make ski jackets! I had a look at a few of their models and eventually settled on the one right above. The exact same color. Look at how sturdy that jacket looks. This baby is going to protect you when it’s cold outside, let me tell you that. And I can tell, because I’ve been out in the snow and on the ice with this one.

For moderate climates, this jacket will do just fine. It has a soft shell so you still have plenty of mobility left. It looks fairly thick but when you wear it it’s actually quite comfortable. The snow that melted and turned to water, was easily repelled. I like the make of the jacket. It has a nice collar, a good zipper and there are a bunch of inside pockets. Handy for my keys, wallet, mobile phone and whatnot. The sleeves are exactly the right length. Not too long and not too short. This jacket fits me like a glove! The Marmot company delivered a really fine ski jacket with this Guides Down Men’s Sweater and I’ll be buying from them again in a few years!
