Men’s Columbia 3in1 Charger Parka Black Ski Jacket – Review

I recently purchased this very same ski jacket when I was going on a skiing trip with my family. My previous jacket was also from this brand and I’ve always been very fond of it. I was a couple of years old and there was a tear in it. And no… it wasn’t Columbia’s fault, it was my own. I took a hard fall and tore it open. I had it fixed and gave the jacket to my brother in law, who didn’t mind taking it from me.

The one thing I noticed about this jacket when I first put it on, was that it was extremely light and warm. It feels so light and thin that, at first, I had a hard time believing this would actually keep me warm. But surprisingly enough, it did. This ski jacket must be made of a pretty impressive material, otherwise it would never be able to pull this off. It’s got plenty of insulation, despite its thin fabric. The jacket is perfect for outdoors in snowy and rainy weather.

When I was skiing with this jacket, the weather was pretty frosty and snow was falling as well. On top of that, I also had to endure some pretty big wind. This jacket had no problem taking that kind of abuse. But I suspect, that if you want to go out into even colder environments, you will need a thicker jacket. However, for my personal use, it did the job just fine.

The jacket doesn’t cover your upper thighs. It goes up to about your waist. Also get a good set of ski pants in combination with this jacket. Other notable things about the 3in1 Charger Parka jacket, are the lovely black color, which I think looks really good on me. Then there is the removable fleece, making it suitable to wear in more seasons than just one.
